Description
The Wisconsin Department of Agriculture, Trade and Consumer Protection (DATCP) runs Clean Sweep to reduce the health and environmental risks of hazardous waste and unwanted chemicals. Its competitive grants help Wisconsin municipalities and Tribes collect agricultural pesticides and other farm chemicals, household hazardous waste, and unwanted prescription drugs. The program aims to make collection services available to as many residents as possible.
Projects may use short collection events, collections offered on multiple days, or permanent sites. Grants reimburse eligible expenses after a project is complete and its final report is submitted. Agricultural and household hazardous waste use one application; unwanted prescription drugs use a separate application.
