Description
The New Hampshire Department of Environmental Services (NHDES) administers Clean Vessel Act or Boat Pumpout Grants to help protect surface water quality. Any organization can seek support to install, operate, maintain, or renovate a boat pumpout facility or a dump station for portable boat toilets.
Supported work can include new hoses, time spent operating or maintaining a facility, and holding tank pumpout fees. Funded facilities must be available to the public at reasonable times, with use costing no more than $5. New facilities must be maintained throughout their useful life.
