Description
Clean Water Grants are administered by the Vermont Department of Environmental Conservation’s Clean Water Initiative Program (CWIP), part of the Vermont Agency of Natural Resources. The program coordinates with state and federal agencies and local partners to fund, develop, implement, and track projects that protect and restore water quality. Its long-term goal is to help Vermont waterways achieve and maintain compliance with Vermont Water Quality Standards, benefiting current and future generations of people and wildlife.
Federally supported projects span agriculture, developed lands, natural resources, and stormwater. CWIP also invests in its partner network through the Clean Water Workforce Capacity Development Initiative. This initiative addresses capacity challenges so partners can sustainably meet increased demand and efficiently deliver high-quality, high-priority clean water projects.
