Description
The Clean Water State Revolving Fund (CWSRF), administered by the New Hampshire Department of Environmental Services (NHDES), provides low-cost financial assistance to communities, nonprofits, and other local government entities. It finances wastewater collection systems, pumping stations, treatment facilities, stormwater infrastructure, nonpoint source pollution control, watershed protection or restoration, and estuary management. Support also covers planning, asset management, energy efficiency, and emerging contaminants projects.
The program aims to protect public health and water quality while improving infrastructure resilience, regulatory compliance, and technical, managerial, and financial capacity. Priorities include green infrastructure, sustainable planning, cybersecurity, energy efficiency, and access for disadvantaged communities and communities historically unable to obtain CWSRF funding. Staff assist with planning, administration, design and environmental review, construction, and compliance oversight.
