    Description

The Clements Center-DeGolyer Library Research Grants are designed to promote scholarly use of the DeGolyer Library’s unique collections at Southern Methodist University (SMU). These grants provide funding to researchers who live outside the greater Dallas–Fort Worth area, enabling them to travel to SMU and conduct research using the library’s extensive holdings related to Southwestern and Western American history, literature, culture, business, transportation, science, and technology. The program encourages both broader and more intensive engagement with these archival resources, aiming to facilitate original scholarship and raise the profile of SMU’s collections.
