Description
The Ethnic-in-Service Training (EIST) Grant, administered by the General Board of Higher Education and Ministry (GBHEM), is designed to foster ethnic leadership development within the United Methodist Church. By allocating funds from the World Communion Sunday offerings, the grant supports programs that recruit, train, and retain persons of color for leadership at all levels of church ministry and related institutions. The grant encourages collaborative and innovative approaches within campus ministry, chaplaincy, higher education, and other ministry contexts, aiming to strengthen diversity and inclusion in church leadership.
