Sponsored by the American Academy of Neurology (AAN), the Clerkship Director Awards recognize dedication and innovation in neurology education rather than fund a new research project. The program honors directors who devote considerable time and energy to teaching, often with little support, and develop curricula, teaching tools, and outcome assessments to enhance medical student learning.
The Teaching Award recognizes sustained commitment to educating future neurologists and teaching neurology to students entering other disciplines. The Innovation Award recognizes unique tools for teaching medical students, assessing their knowledge, and benchmarking their progress. Together, the awards highlight educational contributions that strengthen neurology teaching.
