Description
The Wildlife Conservation Board’s Climate Adaptation and Resiliency Program was created to provide local assistance for conservation projects responding to projected climate impacts. It focuses on California’s natural and working lands, including work that protects and restores ecosystems for wildlife and helps land managers implement adaptation practices.
The program also supports increased carbon sequestration and social, economic, and environmental co-benefits. Projects are expected to support the Board’s Strategic Plan and be consistent with statewide priorities, including the California Water Action Plan and the California State Wildlife Action Plan 2015 Update.
