    Description

The Massachusetts Clean Energy Center (MassCEC) administers Climatetech Pathmaker Grants to expand access to climatetech careers while addressing employers’ critical workforce needs. The program supports short-term, industry-aligned training for high-demand occupations in energy storage and power generation, with application strands for BESS Technicians and Power System Technicians. It prepares individuals without significant industry experience or related higher education for these roles.

Through direct funding and technical assistance, MassCEC supports accelerated training pathways tied to documented hiring needs. Programs incorporate Climatetech Pathmaker Core Competencies, with curricula and skills development tailored to employer needs. A central priority is expanding career access for residents of Environmentally Burdened or low-income neighborhoods and other underrepresented populations, while improving successful placement in high-demand roles.
