Description
The Focused Ultrasound Foundation offers research awards to accelerate the development and clinical adoption of non-invasive, image-guided focused ultrasound (FUS) technologies for the treatment of human and companion animal diseases. These awards support a broad spectrum of research, including high-risk proof-of-concept studies, preclinical translational research, and pioneering clinical trials. Priority is given to projects advancing mechanisms such as immunomodulation, neuromodulation, gene therapy, drug delivery (including blood-brain barrier opening), and sonodynamic therapy, with a focus on oncology, neurodegenerative diseases, cancer immunotherapy, and veterinary applications. The Foundation seeks to foster collaboration across academia, clinical medicine, and industry, and encourages proposals that may not be funded by other organizations.
