Description
The Clinical Cardiac Electrophysiology Fellowship at Mayo Clinic's Phoenix/Scottsdale, Arizona campus is a two-year, ACGME-accredited program designed for physicians seeking advanced training in cardiac electrophysiology. The fellowship provides intensive experience in diagnosing and treating arrhythmias, performing radiofrequency and cryoablation, managing implantable cardioverter-defibrillators and pacemakers, and conducting complex ablations in adults with congenital heart disease. Fellows also receive comprehensive training in noninvasive diagnostics and are expected to participate in both clinical and basic electrophysiology research. The program includes 22 months of hands-on rotations in the Electrophysiology Lab, two months dedicated to research, and ongoing outpatient clinic exposure. Upon completion, graduates are eligible to sit for the American Board of Internal Medicine subspecialty exam in clinical cardiac electrophysiology.
