Description
The Dystonia Medical Research Foundation (DMRF) offers clinical fellowships to support exceptionally qualified physicians preparing for clinical and/or research careers in movement disorders. Training emphasizes dystonia and special competence in the use of botulinum toxins. The program addresses the need for more specialists who can diagnose dystonia, assess patients’ individual needs, and develop appropriate treatment plans.
Alongside specialist preparation, the fellowship seeks to improve understanding of dystonia’s varied clinical manifestations and support better treatments. The announced 2026 fellowships combine a first year of clinical training with a second year focused on clinical research, linking mentored patient-care experience with research at Stanford University and University Hospitals Cleveland Medical Center.
