    Description

This fellowship provides substantial, long-term support to enable clinician scientists to transition to research independence and leadership within the field of cancer research. The award is designed to allow talented clinicians the flexibility and resources to establish themselves as clinical academic leaders, with a focus on research that addresses significant cancer-related questions and strategic priorities (including early detection, prevention, cancers affecting children and young people, and cancers of unmet need). Fellows are expected to remain clinically active, with protected research time, and to be based at a UK institution. The scheme also emphasizes research integrity, training, and open data sharing in line with FAIR principles.
