Description
The Lymphoma Research Foundation’s Clinical Investigator Career Development Award supports advanced fellows and junior faculty preparing to become independent clinical investigators. The program combines salary support with mentored career development, emphasizing primary responsibility for clinical trial design, protocol writing, Institutional Review Board submission, conduct, analysis, and publication. Its goal is to develop investigators who contribute new lymphoma therapies and diagnostic tools.
Projects must involve hypothesis-driven clinical research focused exclusively on lymphoma and/or chronic lymphocytic leukemia (CLL), including recognized subtypes in the fifth edition WHO classification of lymphoid malignancies. Proposals may investigate diagnostic methods, therapies, or patient outcomes. Translational aims are permitted, but a clinical research aim must remain primary; exclusively laboratory-based projects are inappropriate. Database studies, health outcomes research, and epidemiological studies are welcome where permitted by the program guidelines.
