Description
This award supports pilot and feasibility clinical research projects that involve human subjects or samples to address key questions in cystic fibrosis (CF). Its aim is to encourage innovative approaches, methodologies, or hypotheses—especially those not previously applied to CF—and to help new or established investigators generate preliminary data that could lead to larger-scale or multi-center studies. The program is open to both U.S. and international researchers at academic or non-profit institutions (industry-sponsored projects are not eligible). Special consideration is given to projects that address under-researched topics, health disparities, or new avenues of CF research. Applicants are encouraged to align their proposals with the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation’s current research priorities.
