Description
The Cystic Fibrosis Foundation offers this fellowship to support postdoctoral research training related to cystic fibrosis (CF). It enables fellows to learn new research areas and methods, advance their scientific knowledge, and collect data that supports their transition into an impactful research career. Projects should be clinical in focus, using clinical samples or data, or involving interaction with patients.
The Foundation strongly encourages applicants in physiology, physical therapy, biostatistics, nutrition, registered nursing, social work, social and behavioral science, and similar programs. Proposed work must be relevant to the Foundation’s mission and the health and well-being of people with CF. Basic science projects, including restoration of CFTR protein function, disease-progression mechanisms, and mechanistic therapy development, belong in the Foundation’s separate postdoctoral fellowship programs.
