Description
The Cystic Fibrosis Foundation’s Clinical Research Award supports investigator-initiated research directly related to cystic fibrosis (CF) treatment and care. Projects may address diagnosis, treatment, management of disease or symptoms, or CF pathophysiology through observational, interventional, translational, or epidemiologic approaches. Both single-center and multi-center studies are supported, with the goal of making an important contribution to the Foundation’s mission.
The program identifies health equity as a high-priority area. Its Health Experiences and Outcomes Supplement can support research on CF health disparities, broaden perspectives and experience within the biomedical workforce, or fund translation of validated patient-reported outcome measures and study materials, including consent documents, and interpreter services. Applicants are expected to consider health experiences and outcomes in study design, participant selection, data interpretation, and dissemination.
