The Clinical Research Award from the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation funds investigator-initiated clinical, translational, or epidemiologic research projects aimed at improving the understanding, diagnosis, treatment, or management of cystic fibrosis (CF). The program is designed to support projects that can make a significant impact on CF care and outcomes, aligning with the Foundation’s mission to cure CF and enhance the lives of those affected. Both single-center and multi-center studies are eligible, and projects must demonstrate access to sufficient numbers of CF patients and appropriate controls.
Research proposals should address priority areas identified by the Foundation, including but not limited to modulators, infection, gastrointestinal issues, endocrine disorders, pulmonary outcomes, health disparities, and mental/behavioral health. Projects that do not directly align with current priority areas may be considered with prior program officer approval.
