Description
The AO Foundation’s clinical research fellowship is an on-site training program in Switzerland run by the AO Innovation Translation Center (AO ITC) Clinical Evidence team. Fellows bring their own research ideas or data and receive help developing sound clinical study protocols for work in their home clinics, analyzing findings, and preparing manuscripts for submission to peer-reviewed journals.
The program develops skills across clinical research, including study planning, monitoring, ethical conduct, project and data management, and statistically sound analysis. Coaching also covers systematic literature reviews, meta-analysis, and data presentation. The three-month full-time placement offers opportunities to learn Good Clinical Practice guidelines and gain competence using a statistics software package.
