This grant supports clinical research that advances knowledge of treatment efficacy and assessment practices in audiology and speech-language pathology, or explores the translation of evidence into clinical practice. The program prioritizes innovative, preliminary studies that could lead to larger-scale research and future external funding, and seeks projects likely to improve the daily functioning of individuals with, or at risk for, communication and related impairments. Proposals must be new research efforts—not extensions or supplements to projects already funded by other sources.
