Description
The Crohn's and Colitis Foundation offers Clinical Research Investigator-Initiated Awards through Career Development Awards (CRIA-CDA) and Senior Research Awards (CRIA-SRA). The program funds studies intended to directly affect care for people with inflammatory bowel disease (IBD), whether researchers interact with patients or study information about people in large databases, including claims and administrative data. Clinical trials, registries, cohort studies, health services research, epidemiology, and comparative effectiveness research may fit.
The Foundation prioritizes questions identified in its Pragmatic Clinical Research priorities and proposals explaining how results could change prevailing practice. A project outside those areas needs a compelling clinical rationale. The Foundation expects findings that contribute to highly cited publications, clinical guidelines, or follow-on funding.
