Description
The American College of Sports Medicine Foundation’s Clinical Sports Medicine Endowment supports medical professionals conducting research directly related to clinical sports medicine. The award aims to stimulate clinical research arising from the active care of athletes, including studies of prevention strategies, treatment protocols, and treatment outcomes.
The program also supports research addressing issues directly associated with athletes’ active care, including pathogenesis, pathophysiology, biomechanics, and environmental issues. Patient care must involve recreational, competitive, or elite athletes, and applications must demonstrate a direct relationship to one of the program’s research purposes.
