Description
The AASLD Foundation’s Clinical, Translational and Outcomes Research Award supports young investigators who have demonstrated an early commitment to excellence in liver-related research. It protects research time and fosters the development of independent, productive careers in hepatology. Projects may address any aspect of liver disease through clinical research involving direct patient contact or clinical trials, translational investigations using patient samples, or outcomes research encompassing epidemiology, patient-centered outcomes, and health services.
Applications addressing health disparities are encouraged. One award annually is prioritized for meritorious transplant-related research in memory of the University of Michigan Transplant Team. The program is supported through independent grants and unrestricted donations from AASLD and donors to the Foundation.
