Cannonball Kids' cancer Foundation (CKc) funds innovative, first-of-its-kind pediatric cancer research so children can not only survive a cancer diagnosis but thrive afterward. Its Clinical Trial Grant supports novel treatments or methods that offer better quality of life or symptom relief than current treatments. Innovation may include fewer side effects, improved quality of life, or care options where few or none exist at initial diagnosis, relapse, or for recalcitrant cancers.
CKc prioritizes clinical trials and research nearing translation into a clinical trial. Whenever possible, it favors research addressing underfunded or under-researched cancers, traditionally underserved patient populations, and researchers from diverse backgrounds. Clinical Trial proposals are also evaluated for the number of treatment options they would provide and their accessibility to children and families.
