Description
This program funds the planning and development of clinical trial and research networks (CTRN) in Pennsylvania. The initiative is designed to bring together organizations from across the life sciences and healthcare sectors to collaborate on clinical research, share data, standardize procedures, unify infrastructure, and coordinate patient recruitment. The overarching aim is to accelerate clinical trial startup, improve continuity among healthcare institutions, and boost patient enrollment by creating a unified and efficient research ecosystem within the Commonwealth.
The program is part of the broader Innovate in PA 2.0 initiative, which seeks to drive innovation and economic growth in Pennsylvania, especially within the life sciences sector. Grant awards are contingent on the availability of funds raised through the sale of insurance premium tax credits, which are projected to become available in late 2026.
