Description
The Clinical Trials Programme of the German Research Foundation (DFG) funds innovative, patient-oriented clinical research projects led by researchers who have completed their academic training. The programme supports both interventional clinical studies (including feasibility studies [phase II] and interventional trials [phase III]) and, in justified cases, observational trials focused on highly relevant research questions that cannot be addressed by interventional designs. Emphasis is placed on scientific quality, originality, and clinical relevance, aiming to advance medical knowledge and improve patient care.
