Description
This award from the Friedreich's Ataxia Research Alliance (FARA) is designed to develop the next generation of independent clinician-scientists focused on Friedreich's ataxia (FA). It supports early-career physician faculty through mentored clinical and translational research projects, including patient-oriented studies, clinical trials, disease mechanism research, biomarker discovery, and natural history investigations. The program strongly encourages proposals that include formal training toward advanced clinical research degrees (such as MSCI or MPH) and requires a robust mentorship plan to foster the applicant’s expertise and leadership in FA research.
