Description
The Clinician Scientist Development Award from the Friedreich's Ataxia Research Alliance (FARA) is designed to foster the next generation of clinician-scientists focused on Friedreich's ataxia (FA). This award provides mentored funding for early-career physician faculty, supporting their transition to independent investigators with a focus on patient-oriented and translational FA research. Eligible projects include clinical trials, natural history studies, disease mechanism research, biomarker discovery, and other translational or patient-centered studies. Proposals that facilitate training towards advanced clinical research degrees (such as MSCI or MPH) are encouraged.
