Description
AO North America’s CMF fellowships support post-graduate fellowship programs in all fields of craniomaxillofacial surgery. Funding goes to institutions to support fellows’ clinical training, research, and education during a 12-month academic year. The award covers all fellows in a selected institution’s fellowship program.
Training must provide an organized, comprehensive, supervised, full-time educational experience under the institution’s clinical faculty. It includes patient management, surgical procedures, and integrating surgical therapies and diagnostic modalities into clinical care. The program aims to develop fellows’ ability to practice competently and independently, with periodic performance reporting to verify their progress. Fellowship Program Directors and teaching staff oversee program administration and fellows’ instruction, supervision, counseling, and evaluation.
