Description
The CMO Excellence in Green Chemistry Award, established by the ACS Green Chemistry Institute Pharmaceutical Roundtable, honors contract manufacturing organizations (CMOs) in the pharmaceutical industry that have demonstrated significant progress in green and sustainable chemistry. The award specifically recognizes innovations in synthetic route development, reaction conditions, and manufacturing technologies that result in measurable environmental, safety, and efficiency improvements. Winning organizations are celebrated for achievements such as reducing process mass intensity, minimizing waste, improving process robustness, and decreasing the use of hazardous substances. The award is presented annually at the ACS Green Chemistry & Engineering Conference, with recipients invited to present their technology.
