Description
The COAD Appalachian Development Fund, in partnership with the Foundation for Appalachian Ohio (FAO), supports innovative programs and specific needs of Corporation for Ohio Appalachian Development member agencies. The fund advances COAD’s mission to improve quality of life for individuals and families in Appalachian Ohio, supporting both new programming and practical agency needs.
Past awards illustrate the range of supported work: a housing coordinator serving Athens, Hocking and Perry counties; sewer line improvements for a community resource center in Ross County; assistance for people in recovery reentering the workforce and obtaining necessary documentation in Lawrence County; and kitchen supplies for a new shelter project in Athens County. COAD established the endowment with FAO in 2004 to sustain services and resources for its member agencies.
