The Stephen F. Cohen–Robert C. Tucker Dissertation Fellowship Program provides substantial financial support to US-based doctoral students working on dissertations in Russian and Soviet historical studies from the nineteenth to the early twenty-first century. Administered by the Association for Slavic East European and Eurasian Studies (ASEEES), the program offers both research fellowships (to support fieldwork and archival research) and completion fellowships (to assist in the final stages of dissertation writing). A special award is available for projects in Women’s and Gender Studies. The fellowships aim to foster advanced scholarship and cultivate future academic leaders in the field of Russian/Soviet history.
