Key Information: Applicants must be members in good standing of The Coleopterists Society.

    Description

The Coleopterists Society offers this grant to support travel to collections for beetle taxonomic research. Its purpose is to help researchers complete taxonomic reviews, revisions, and monographs, with particular attention to researchers whose work is under-funded. Awards subsidize collection visits rather than covering applicant salaries, and priority is given to applications for future travel.

The program emphasizes feasible projects with explicit research goals and specific deliverables. Applications are assessed for their impact on the beetle taxon being studied and/or coleopterology more broadly. Applicants must also explain how the proposed work will benefit both themselves and the collections they visit.
