This opportunity enables researchers based in the UK and in the State of São Paulo, Brazil, to collaborate on joint research projects across all disciplines covered by participating UKRI research councils. Under a renewed memorandum of understanding (MoU) between UK Research and Innovation (UKRI) and the São Paulo Research Foundation (FAPESP), eligible applicants can submit joint proposals, which are assessed by UKRI as the lead agency. The scheme is designed to foster high-quality, cross-border research by leveraging the complementary strengths of both countries’ research communities. Projects may address any topic within the remit of the participating UKRI council and the corresponding FAPESP remit.
