This program, funded by the Nebraska Research Initiative, provides single-year seed grants to stimulate and support research collaborations among University of Nebraska campuses. The primary aim is to generate preliminary data or develop capabilities that will strengthen future proposals for federal extramural funding, especially in alignment with the university's strategic priorities and areas of federal interest. Projects must involve meaningful collaboration between faculty from at least two Nebraska campuses, unless pursuing a National Strategic Research Institute (NSRI) priority topic with an NSRI content expert. Supported research areas include advanced technology, agriculture and bioeconomy, educational sciences, health sciences, human performance, humanities, national security, and natural resources.
