Beginning November 1, 2026, Collaboration Seed Fund proposals will be reviewed twice annually, in January and August. Fall 2026 proposals submitted after November 1 will be considered in January 2027.

Description
Collaboration Seed Funds are administered by the New Hampshire EPSCoR State Office through NH-LIFT, a four-year NSF EPSCoR E-CORE initiative. The program helps faculty at NH-LIFT partner institutions develop research collaborations with colleagues at other institutions or industry partners. It brings together researchers with shared interests and complementary expertise to build relationships, exchange ideas, identify funding opportunities, and address barriers to external funding.
The emphasis is on convening and collaboration development rather than conducting research. Supported activities include attending domestic conferences together, organizing collaboration workshops, offering shared seminars or lecture series, and visiting partners’ laboratories. Projects should establish how partners will share information, make decisions, and advance toward collaborative publications and funding proposals. The broader initiative seeks to broaden participation, catalyze innovation, and strengthen New Hampshire’s economy.
