Description
Collaborative Arts Education Projects (CAEP) is an experimental model of the Utah Division of Arts & Museums’ Arts Education Program. It supports community-based arts learning in Utah through partnerships among teaching artists, educators, arts or cultural organizations, and local resources. Partners plan, build, implement, evaluate, and assess arts learning and community engagement activities together.
Projects may involve social service agencies, parks and recreation programs, hospitals, senior centers, correctional facilities, community centers, or libraries. Learners may be children, adults, educators, nonprofit staff, parents, or multigenerational groups. CAEP aims to create arts learning opportunities and community connections that continue after the project ends; it is not a Division sponsorship.
