This opportunity provides research teams with access to the Schmidt Ocean Institute's R/V Falkor (too) for innovative, collaborative, and multidisciplinary oceanographic research. The Institute supports projects that advance understanding of ocean systems, develop new technologies, and promote open data sharing. Priority research areas include seafloor mapping, biodiversity, ocean health, physical oceanography, deep-sea exploration, future technologies, and human impacts on the ocean. The program encourages meaningful engagement with local communities and supports creative outreach and public engagement initiatives.
Selected teams receive vessel time, technical and operational support, and use of onboard scientific equipment, including advanced robotics and computing.
