Description
The Collaborative Research Equipment Grant (CREG) is a major funding opportunity under the Collaborative Research Fund (CRF) of the Hong Kong Research Grants Council. CREG is designed to support the acquisition of significant research facilities and equipment—including major library acquisitions—that are beyond the financial reach of a single university and are intended for collaborative use by multiple Hong Kong universities. The grant also covers group user fees for access to existing core facilities or equipment, fostering shared infrastructure and maximizing research impact through collective resource use. The goal is to enable and enhance collaborative, cross-institutional research, strengthen research capacity, and encourage cost-effective investment in high-value scientific infrastructure.
