Description
The Collaborative Research Equipment Grant (CREG), offered under the Collaborative Research Fund by the Hong Kong Research Grants Council, enables Hong Kong universities to acquire major research facilities and equipment that are financially out of reach for a single institution. The grant is designed to promote cross-institutional collaboration by supporting shared infrastructure, including large-scale scientific equipment and major library acquisitions, as well as facilitating group access to existing core facilities. The initiative aims to strengthen research capacity, encourage cost-effective investments, and maximize the collective impact of research infrastructure across Hong Kong’s academic sector.
