Description
The Collaborative Research Project Grant (CRPG) is administered by the Hong Kong Research Grants Council (RGC) under its Collaborative Research Fund (CRF). It encourages research groups in UGC-funded universities to collaborate across disciplines and universities, enhancing the attainment, quantity, dimensions and impact of university research output. Funding supports research staff, equipment and general project expenses.
The program emphasises genuine collaboration, capacity building and the potential to develop an area of research strength. Teams are expected to pursue interdisciplinary goals that could not be achieved by working on individual project components in isolation. Research should primarily take place in Hong Kong, benefit the local research community and train local research talent. Collaboration with local partners is encouraged.
