Description
The National Endowment for the Humanities (NEH) Collections Stewardship program funds projects that preserve and increase access to humanities collections—both physical and digital—of value for research, teaching, and public engagement. Eligible activities include conservation assessments, preservation treatments, cataloging, digitization, metadata creation, development of digital surrogates, transcriptions, and indexes, as well as education and training for students and professionals in collections stewardship. The program aims to ensure the long-term care and accessibility of significant collections held by libraries, archives, museums, educational institutions, and related organizations.
