Description
The Texas Higher Education Coordinating Board’s College Readiness and Success Models program supports systemic reforms that improve outcomes for academically disadvantaged students. It funds implementation, scaling, and enhancement of career pathways advising, embedded tutoring, teaching and learning technologies, and professional development for faculty and support staff. These efforts strengthen evidence-based acceleration strategies, persistence, and course pass rates to help students complete credentials successfully and on time.
The 2026 program combines continuous improvement practices, expanded corequisite models, and targeted support for near college-ready students. Its goals include improved retention, course completion, and academic achievement, aligned with the state’s Building a Talent Strong Texas strategic plan and its emphasis on credentials of value leading to workforce success.
