College/University and Amateur Performance supports colleges, universities, and amateur arts groups presenting Kurt Weill and Marc Blitzstein works, helping bring their stage and concert music to audiences.

Description
The Kurt Weill Foundation funds colleges, universities, and amateur performing arts organizations presenting stage works by Kurt Weill or Marc Blitzstein, or performing their concert works. Grants support general production expenses for stage works and musical expenses for concert works. The program also supports productions of Lenya Story: Ein Liebeslied and LoveMusik, works based on the lives of Weill and Lotte Lenya.
The Foundation favors substantial presentations of these works in their original versions and orchestrations, apart from specified authorized arrangements. An independent advisory panel reviews proposals under the Foundation’s evaluation procedures and criteria.
