The Advanced Industries Early-Stage Capital and Retention Grant helps Colorado-based technology businesses develop and commercialize advanced technologies created or manufactured in the state. It addresses market underinvestment in early-stage technologies by filling funding gaps rather than competing with existing funding. Projects must involve disruptive technology—a significant departure from technology currently available in the industry.
The program supports advanced manufacturing, aerospace, bioscience, electronics, energy and natural resources including cleantech, infrastructure engineering, and technology and information. Its goals include accelerating commercialization and economic growth in Colorado’s advanced industries. OEDIT’s Global Business Development division administers the grant with Colorado’s advanced industry trade associations, with final funding approval by the Colorado Economic Development Commission.
