Description
The Comics Librarian Conference Travel Grant is administered by the American Library Association’s Graphic Novels & Comics Round Table (GNCRT). Established in 2023, it supports professional development for library workers interested in expanding their knowledge and experience with comics collections and programming in libraries. The program highlights the value and expertise that comics librarianship brings to the field.
The grant helps recipients attend ALA Annual Conference, where they can participate in GNCRT sessions, connect with comics publishers, and meet fellow GNCRT members. The 2026 award, supported by Oni Press, focused on newer library professionals with limited financial support. Selection considers financial need, enthusiasm for comics librarianship, and the pursuit of professional growth.
