The COMpetency in Menopause & Integrated Therapy (COMMIT) Challenge, led by the NIH Office of Research on Women’s Health and NIH Challenges, seeks to identify, amplify, and reward exemplary menopause curricula within U.S. health education programs. This national prize competition supports the standardization and improvement of menopause education for medical, nursing, and allied health professionals. The challenge focuses on recognizing existing, evidence-based, scalable curricula that address the menopausal transition and menopause hormone therapy, aiming for national dissemination and alignment with accreditation standards. The ultimate goal is to advance team-based care, reduce inconsistencies in menopause management, and improve health outcomes for women experiencing menopause.
