Description
The Commonwealth Local Government Good Practice Scheme aims to promote and strengthen effective democratic local government across the Commonwealth by facilitating the exchange of good practices in local government structures and services. Now in its third phase, the scheme supports projects in Ghana, India, Pakistan, Sierra Leone, South Africa, and Jamaica, each focusing on specific themes such as local economic development, governance, and service delivery. The program encourages knowledge and skill-sharing partnerships between overseas partners and UK authorities, as well as South-South partnerships, to improve local governance and service delivery.
