Description
The Commonwealth Local Government Good Practice Scheme aims to promote and strengthen effective democratic local government across the Commonwealth by facilitating the exchange of good practices in local government structures and services. Now in its third phase, the scheme supports councils and local government associations in six Commonwealth countries, each focusing on a specific theme such as local economic development, governance, or service delivery. The program encourages knowledge and skill-sharing partnerships, often pairing overseas organisations with UK authorities or fostering South-South collaborations, to improve local government operations and outcomes.
