Description
The Kavli Foundation’s Communication and Public Engagement Skill Building Sessions opportunity co-funds in-person workshops, training sessions, and similar professional development activities for Kavli Institute communities. Part of the foundation’s Science and Society program, it responds to interest from Institute members, especially early career scientists, in opportunities to develop communication and public engagement skills at their own institutions.
The program supports Institutes that want to bring these learning opportunities to their communities through locally organized activities. Applicant Institutes fully plan and host the sessions; the foundation provides co-funding rather than organizing or delivering the workshops itself. Support can help cover the practical costs of hosting in-person professional development, including trainers or experts, catering, and event space.
