Description
The Community Arts Endowment Fund, administered by the Community Foundation of the North State, awards grants primarily for the creation and presentation of new public artwork in Shasta and Siskiyou counties. Supported disciplines include dance, theater, music, writing, sculpture, painting, photography, film, and graphic design, while other art forms are also considered. Projects must explain where completed work will be displayed or shared and how it will be publicly available.
The fund grew out of the Shasta-Siskiyou ARTicipate campaign, which began in 2010. As a Field of Interest fund, it pools contributions from multiple donors into an endowment intended to sustain regional arts today and into the future. Its grantmaking has supported work ranging from murals and sculpture to original musical compositions, youth theater, multimedia installations, and documentary video.
