Description
The Oklahoma Arts Council’s Community Arts Learning Grants support community-based workshops, classes, and other participatory arts learning programs for Oklahomans of all ages and abilities. Projects may include workshop series, summer camps, after-school programs, prevention or intervention programs, and creative aging programs. Instruction can span music, theatre, dance, literary arts, media arts, and visual arts.
The program prioritizes sequential learning that builds artistic knowledge and skills over time. Participants make creative choices and learn from teaching artists who demonstrate both artistic expertise and teaching ability. Audience-based events such as concerts, exhibits, festivals, and conferences are directed to the Community Arts Experience Grant program instead.
