The Intramural Research Program (IRP) at the Ohio State University Comprehensive Cancer Center – James offers seed funding to support promising, peer-reviewed cancer research projects led by Ohio State investigators. The IRP is designed to foster innovation, interdisciplinary collaboration, and the generation of preliminary data that enhances competitiveness for external NCI grants. Funding is provided through multiple award categories—including Idea Grants, Early-Career Awards, Community-Based Partnership Awards, Clinical Trial Grants, BRIDGE Awards (for young adult and early-onset cancer research), and, starting in Fall 2026, Team Science Awards.
