Description
The Community-Based Partnership Awards support Ohio State University investigators conducting cancer-focused research with community partners. Administered through the OSUCCC – James Intramural Research Program (IRP) and supported by Pelotonia and donor funding, the awards aim to make the community part of the research project. Ohio State researchers in any area of scientific investigation may apply if their work is hypothesis-driven and intended to lead to a peer-reviewed National Cancer Institute (NCI) grant application.
The program provides seed support to develop promising research and generate preliminary data and publications that strengthen competitiveness for NCI funding. It emphasizes scientific merit, interdisciplinary collaboration, innovation, potential impact on cancer treatment, and contribution to the OSUCCC – James mission.
