Description
The Society for Personality and Social Psychology (SPSP) offers Community Catalyst Grants to personality and social psychologists at all career stages. Inspired by discussions at its 2017 Increasing Diversity and Inclusiveness symposium, the program supports projects that help participants connect, exchange ideas, and develop professional skills. Examples include gatherings with an invited speaker, opportunities to critique job materials or workshop papers, skills-building workshops, and activities that build new networks.
SPSP particularly values projects that develop new communities within the society. It evaluates proposals for their potential field-wide impact, innovation, and contribution to inclusive scientific communities. Applicants may describe how an activity supports communities historically marginalized in the field.
